Well, the pita that is!

Before I get to my lunch, I’m glad that I got both a workout and some shopping done this morning! I wasn’t in the mood for a formal gym workout, so instead, I did a 45 minute power walk around my neighborhood. When I got home, I did a quick ab routine, and I called it a day. I then went to Whole Foods and picked up some things I needed in the house. After I put all of my groceries away, I made a simple and delicious lunch. I was originally going to have a hummus sandwich, but I remembered that I had bought some ezekiel pitas a while back, so I made a hummus pita instead! I stuffed the two pockets with hummus, a slice of provolone, romaine lettuce, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, carrot, and yellow bell pepper. I popped the pita into the microwave so the cheese would melt, and it was one gooey, yummy delicacy! Only thing was that I overstuffed my pita, so all the veggies kept falling out of it! Typical! I had my usual side of fresh strawberries also. I just can’t get enough of ‘em during the summer!

From all of my running around this morning, I’m feeling extra tired. I think a nap is sounding pretty nice right about now!
