Tasti D-Lited!
What a great afternoon I’ve had! This morning not too long after I ate my breakfast, I went on a lovely 45 minute power walk/run near a local park while listening to music, and taking in all of this beautiful scenery and glorious weather. It definitely got my day off to a great start. I felt so revitalized and refreshed upon returning home.
Not too long after, I decided to go into the city to pick up a quick bite at my favorite restaurant (I don’t even have to mention the name anymore!) I ordered the Smoked Tempeh & Grilled Vegetable Sandwich which is described on the menu as grilled tempeh, zucchini, roasted red pepper, arugula, and sundried tomato pesto on mixed grain bread with basil aioli and a potato salad. I had ordered this sandwich about a month ago, but at the time, I had subbed the tempeh for tofu. I tried the sandwich in it’s true form today, and absolutely loved it! And the potato salad is seriously out of this world.. so, so addictive.
I couldn’t resist but get another Tasti D-Lite after my lunch today. I had a very difficult time choosing just one flavor, so instead I decided to get a “half and half” cone.. 1/2 Banana and 1/2 Dutch Chocolate. For starters, I couldn’t believe how HUGE my cone was! If this is the small, I can’t even begin to imagine how the large must look like! Flavorwise, this combo was most definitely a hit! I couldn’t believe how intense the banana flavor was. It really packed a punch! It paired perfectly with the chocolate, which needless to say, was terrific as well. Tasti D-Lite has officially stolen my heart (and my wallet!)
Tonight I was invited to yet another party, and this time I can’t turn it down. Therefore, I wont be able to post for the remainder of the day, unfortunately! I’ll probably just pick up something fast for dinner like a slice of veggie pizza, an avocado roll, or a subway sandwich. Enjoy the rest of the day everybody.. see you all bright and early!
Update on the NE Bloggers’ Dinner: How does Saturday, September 6th sound? For all who are still interested in joining Kristin and I, leave me a shout to say if it’s a convenient date for you.. I’d like to finalize things asap. I’m really looking forward to meeting you all!

awww i wish i could come to the dinner :( that is a juge cone jeeeez!! i usually get the swirl (PB & chocolate/vanille) in a small cup whenever i go to Tasti D-Lite. Mmmmm. have fun at the party tonight..sounds like a fun time!

Hey Erica, I’ve been a reader/follower from the start of your blog, but never commented. I’ve talked to Kristin through e-mail about joining the Candle get-together, and this date looks good for me! I’m a college sophmore on the cross country and track teams, and I go to school in Westchester county, right outside the city. I’m just hoping the timing will workout with my practice if I have it that day.

Knowing Candle, I’d say the best time to go is around 6-6:30. The later you go, the more crowded it gets.

That potato salad looks SO good — what a creative twist on the classic mashed-potatoes-and-peas combo!
P.S. If you get a topping at Tasti D, always get it on the side — you get about 250% more! ;)

i think the small cup size is probably the same size or a little less. i just have a weird thing about cones getting soggy from the fro-yo haha ;)

Date = PERF.
Ice cream cone = PEEERRRFFF :) I L.O.V.E. their Strawberry! So fab :) But I love anything strawberry (AS LONG AS IT’S NOT ARTIFICIAL TASTING…ewww, so mcnast.)
Strawberry with Fresh Strawberries in it = dreamy :) YUM!

To answer your question, I have a Sony Cyber-Shot. I love it! It’s pretty small and has adjustable settings, a large viewing screen and even a video option. I got mine maybe 2 Christmas’ ago and haven’t had any problems. I think now it even comes in pretty colors, but mine’s silver! Good luck!
